Future Research and Research into the Change in Values

Being armed for the future with the Delphi procedure.

Knowledge of value systems is really crucial when estimating long-term consumption orientations and brand preferences. That?s why you want a clear view of the value systems that will be relevant in future in our society.

The question of future values has a history within the GIM Network: the first GIM Values Delphi Study appeared as early as 1992, followed in 2001 by ?Future Values ? New Values, New Desires?. GIM argo is carrying on this tradition; the Delphi method as a multi-stage tool for developing future scenarios is an established part of our range of services.

In a Delphi procedure, social science experts produce written reports concerning changing value orientations in the context of social development. In a feedback loop, these reports are presented to further experts in this field for discussion. The resulting synthesis, the final report, serves as input for workshops with clients and marketing experts in order to tease out options and scenarios for future action.
