    Trend Research "Food" published by ZMP

    On behalf of ZMP (Central Reporting Agency for Market and Prices of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Produce), GIM argo has analyzed the relevance and sustainability of the most significant food trends.

    Trend letters and professional journals often mention new trends and tendencies in the food sector. Many of these trends, however, remain niche phenomena or short-lived temporary fads incapable of establishing themselves on the market. Which trends, however, should food producers focus on?

    For GIM argo, the decisive factors are the changes in the socio-economic conditions and developments in (eating) culture. This is because in  the long run, only those trends that are connectable to the consumers' changed needs and habits will prevail.
    The analysis of current social changes and their impact on the general eating behavior therefore forms the basis for the assessment of the relevance and sustainability of the introduced food trends.
